Couple: Dream Home Turned Into Nightmare WLTX.com

In factually, they say buying their dream home has become a nightmare. It's a problem they say they've been living with for the last two years, now only recently discovered. They wanted to ration their story with others to warn of what can happen when not expecting it.

"I had a beautiful home, and now,�I have an apartment with a couch, a chair and a bed in it," says Ami McAlhaney, "It's beastly. It's terrible, because you don't know what you're really living in or what you can lose--how fast you can lose it." Claude and�Ami McAlhaney�never scheme they would be in their current situation when they went house shopping two years ago.

"We had no idea," Ami says, "We thought we were getting our vision home, but like�I said, we can't even live in it." According to the couple, dizzy spells started quickly after they moved in, along with nausea and trouble breathing. Says Ami, "They wouldn't be every day or every week. It was just spurts of it."

When they stony to paint their home, Claude came face to face with what they think is the reason behind it all. "When�I was painting, the roller went through the screen. So,�I decided to take the sheetrock knife and cut the sheetrock out and the mold and rotted wood was behind it," he says.�
