When was the first gas mask that was used in World War One, the British Hypo Helmet, invented?
It was the very first gas mask old in the first World War because they would suprisingly get hit with poision gas attacks, it is different then any gas masks made before the first World War so I don't want to remember anything about those, and I want to know about the one called the British Hypo Helmet made either a few months or a few weeks before the Battle of the Somme during Coterie War
One.
The first British manifestation was the Hypo helmet, the fabric of which was soaked in sodium hyposulfite (commonly known as "hypo").
The Hypo helmet or British Smoke Hood (its ceremonious name) [1] was an early British First World War gas mask.
The first version was tested in May 1915 and manufacture started the following month, continuing until September[3] by which while 2.5 million had been manufactured and it had been superseded by the P Helmet, which provided improved protection against chlorine and added buffer against phosgene.
Hope this helps you out. Good Luck !!
