Some riders did a bit of last-wink shopping in Curt's Center, picking up Barbie dolls, toy motorcycles and other toys to donate to the Shriner's Hospitals.

Peerless and Brenda Nichols of Wagoner, in leather chaps and matching Harley-Davidson jackets, browsed the toy cut up at Big Lots beforehand.

“We figure if we don't, then some kid won't have a toy,” he said.

Just in line behind the Nicholses, Alicia and Charles Hughes of Muskogee also picked up surplus toys.

“We're just doing it to support them,” Alica said. “We're doing it every year; it's for a advantage cause.”

Some toys are sent with children who are being transported to a hospital, some are given to locally hospitalized children, said Jim Ritchey, dispensary chairman.

“When it comes to the Shrine,” said Chief Rabban Paul Center, “the bottom cortege is that it's all for the children.”
