Why do people wear a head scarf around their head to sleep?
I always see on authenticity TV like ANTM, the models (African American) ones, they would cover their hair with a head scarf before sleeping. What's the emphasize of the head scarf?
Is it to keep it neat or sth? Sorry i have no clue at all.
Not only to keep the mane in place, but also to prevent breakage. Most people who DO wear scarves to bed wear silk scarfs because there is not as much rivalry between smooth silk and hair like there is with hair and cotton. This prevents breakage by letting the tresses slide across instead of getting snagged and less breakage means hair strength and lump. Some epople who dont like sleeping with something on their head sometimes bypass the scarf and get a silk pillowcase instead.
